Thanksgiving

We had a FUN day, talking about THANKSGIVING!!!

We made some TURKEY HATS & the kids got to tell me several things they were thankful for:) This might be my favorite activity of the year!

We colored Thanksgiving place mats and watched a show about the First Thanksgiving and we talked about the Pilgrims and the Indians and what they might have eaten at the first Thanksgiving meal.

Then we enjoyed a "Thanksgiving Feast"! It was fun to watch them try new things and like some of it and not like some of it:) We ate potatoes and peaches and blackberries and stuffing and green beans and corn and pumpkin pie and bread! We had such a great day talking about being grateful and I have to say how very grateful I am for my wonderful preschoolers this year! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful class!!!

Letter N

Literature:
Nice New Neighbors by Franz Brandenberg
Nana Upstairs and Nana Downstairs by Tomie dePaola

Math:
We counted the number of dots on each square and then matched it up with the correct number and glued it on our papers in order from 0-10.

Game:
Now you see it, Now you don't
I put objects out for them to look at, then I put them away and they had to try to remember all of the objects that were shown to them. We played one more variation where we took something away and they had to guess which object was removed.

Handwriting:
We traced numbers 0-10 on the white board during circle time

Creative Play:
We read a book of nursery rhymes and then acted a couple of them out

Outdoor Play:
We practiced hopping on one foot today, to practice balance!
