Letter H

Art Project:
We made a collage of Healthy Foods! We looked through magazines and talked about the differences between healthy foods and unhealthy foods and they did a good job of picking out the healthy things, cutting them out and gluing them on their collage!

School Spirit:
We had a fun HAT day to celebrate the letter H and I LOVED all of the hats that they wore! It was so fun to see them in them!

Outdoor Play:
We went outside and had some Hopping Races! They loved this and we got our exercise in for the day, hopping back and forth over and over again!:)

Circle Time:
We talked about feelings and what we can do when we are feeling Happy or Sad. We talked about different reasons we might feel those emotions.

We talked a lot about Healthy Eating & Exercise! We shared ideas on how to keep our bodies healthy, including our teeth! We even shared ideas on how to keep our minds healthy.

Music:
If you are Happy & You Know it
Old McDonald(Horse, Hen & Hog)

Game/Activity:
We learned the Hokey Pokey and they LOVED it!

Letter G

Arts & Crafts:
We glued cereal onto our giraffes to make spots & we talked about what sounds we think a giraffe makes:) We came up with some fun noises!

Music:
We mixed it up and let the Wiggles do our music time! The kids loved following along and doing the actions with the songs!

Outdoor/Recess:
We enjoyed a game of Duck Duck Goose together!

Language/Literature:
We made letter "g's" with our leftover cereal after craft time and talked about the different sounds G can make.
I read a few different books out loud this week, including Goodnight Moon, Gullywasher Gulch and Grateful, we LOVE to read in preschool! I hope you are all taking the opportunity to read to your children at home.

Math:
We counted with PEGS & used our peg boards to create groups of numbers and talked about MORE and LESS.

Science:
We made our own gardens, start to finish! The kids enjoyed filling their pots with dirt, planting their flower seeds, covering the seeds with dirt & watering them! Oh...and we made sure to make them PRETTY by painting polka dots on them:) We had so much fun learning about things that Grow and what a plant needs in order to grow.  I hope they enjoy taking care of their gardens at home!
